Cops Guilty of Killing 92–Year-Old Woman; Planted Marijuana in Her Home, Shot One Another

Two police officers pleaded guilty Thursday to manslaughter in the shooting death of a 92–year–old woman during a botched drug raid last fall. … Assistant U.S. Attorney Yonette Sam–Buchanan said Thursday that although the officers found no drugs in Johnston's home, Smith planted three bags of marijuana in the home as part of a cover story. … [Prosecutor Peter Johnson] said Johnston … didn't hit any of the officers. That means the officers who were wounded likely were hit by their own colleagues, he said. (April 26, 2007)

saw the article earlier and was about to post it also ...that is what this drug war is all about. Cannabis is actually pretty much without victims, making it for me not a crime. The only time you read about victims and cannabis together it is like this sort of reason. So it would be interesting to know how the governments of the world rate statistics on victims and how they derive these statistics...considering most are anti -hempsters from the beginning it would appear that the figures world wide would be biased before they begin to calculate them.

America has her issues with the right to bare arms, this is again one of those stories for me. There are way too many of them coming out of the states, so everyone stay safe.All the best SB
