Giant Haze Hunt

What's up gang.. I am hunting a ton of haze this season and wanted to document it here. The hunt includes the following lines:

50x Bandaid Haze ix4.2 (doc d)
50x Original Haze (ag seed co)
37 Nevil's Haze (mr nice)
30 Green Haze x Harlem Dreams (piffcoast)
15 Nigerian Landrace (derg corra)

I have always loved haze and grew up smoking it in NYC area.. recently was lucky enough to smoke some of Nevil's cuts (A5 and Nevil's Haze) and really love the profiles.. I have always suspected the Nevil's Haze or his work to be the parent of the NYC type haze and after smoking it can definitely confirm it.. So I am super excited for these Nevil Haze along with some of the others! The BH IX4.2 is essentially a worked/inbred A5 clone.. the OHaze should also be a nice glimpse into what the genetics hold.

hey I shorthanded it but I will edit the post, its Green Haze x Harlem Dreams .. Green Haze is a piffy cut from the Miami to NYC scene.. its probably the loudest and most potent one that still exists.. super strong chlorine/ammonia/pool cleaning chemical terps that are nostril stinging with some incense.. prob an old nevs bag seed of some sort imo.. Piffcoast farms made these to hunt for himself and only released them in the 50 VIP boxes last year at piffcon. I had a booth as a vendor and didnt buy a ticket so I didnt get any.. but a bunch of people contacted me to give me their seeds to see what they contained.. I am excited to find the terp profile but expect to have to cross in the Bandaid or Nevil's to bring some kindness and richness to the effect..

Holy Grail will definitely be in the mix! I just wanted to select some moms from the Nev's first in order to have something to compare it to, but I do have a pack. My Mr Nice catalogue runs deep! Gonna be hunting Doors, Mango Haze, Grail, Afghan Haze, G13 Haze and a few others in the next few years, provided I like what the Nev's contains at least. I also won a couple of the unreleased AC hybrids that I plan on breeding with, particularly the SSH x AC. That one is getting wet for the early 2024 run no doubt.

There is a lot of disinfo that goes around the states surrounding haze and Shanti's gear.. I believe this to be a targeted planned method done by those trying to sell their own products and distract/discredit the original gear. You can clearly see common traits between the cuban black haze and Nevil's clones and lines, I believe Shanti has the real deal shit still and I am doing this side by side run to prove it.

Beyond the piffy churchy profiles I am hoping to find some nice fruity and citrusy dank phenos. I am really excited for this.
 
I’m looking forward to the haze show. I agree with much of what you say about marketing hype. Indeed, Shanti has the real deal shit bc he got alot of it directly from Nev himself. Fact. It’s too bad there are not more like you willing to do side-by-sides. It’s a simple matter of trying something out to see if you like it or not regardless of the hissers.
So like I said I’m looking forward to the show brah.

@neutrino you'll be swimming in a sea of Haze!!😋 Running that many beans, let alone all haze. All I can say is, wow. Truly, a jungle of dreams.

I've got a 🦽 pulled up beside @Swifty and am watching this.

Thanks for all the encouragement boys. This will be fun and informative for all.

My morning speculations - Nevil's Haze is A5 x C .. I wonder if he or Shanti had ever tried to make C5 x A .. I personally prefer the A5 over the C5.. Curious what that might be like..

I'm wondering if taking some of these Bandaid Males (A5 ix basically) onto a C leaning Nevil's will produce something extra special too
 
If anyone knows a good way to post pictures on this forum please enlighten me. Maybe @musashi can help, your photos look so high res. I have to use a resizer and butcher the image to let the forum accept it. But regardless, here is an update on the haze hunt.

Notes so far -

O Haze - has the narrowest leaves still by a long shot. Looks super cool and very uniform.. aside from differences in vigor. It looks like an IBL. 44/50 seeds remain.

Doc's BH IX4.2 - less vigorous overall and pretty inbred at this point.. Very uniform and I had pulled a couple leaves to inspect for pests and there is significant early resin on them. 43/50 seeds remain.

Nev's Haze - looks like a hybrid.. some wider and some narrow leafed plants.. but most have very sharp pronounced serrations and look just jurassic in nature. I have noticed that in other gear from Shanti that I have used before. They have a mystique about them. 35/37 seeds remain.

Green Haze x Harlem Dreams - some absolute beasts in here and some "smaller ones".. I attribute the larger overall size to the fact that they are in 1 gallon pots as opposed to half gallon pots. They are all pretty solid too, and some of them have some nice stinky stem rubs already. 26/30 seeds remain.

The regular seeds (black pots) will all be sex tested and flipped to flower in the next 10 days. The fems will go into flower in a separate 5x10 tent, I didnt inted on this many healthy girls so I have had to postpone other plans to open up for the Green Harlems. But more haze is a great problem to have, and with this many finishing up I know I will be making some selections I can feel confident in.

The males will go outside to flower, I will use the most resinious IX4.2 males to preserve and increase the line, do some outcrossing, and hit a branch on all of the girls from this hunt as well.
