criticalxhaze grow

Lovely pics mate.. what sort of smells you getting from them?

For the first time last night I rubbed the stems of some plants that have just been put in for sexing and a few of them are very musky and bitter but there is one that has a creamy mango type smell.. Its very strange.. I like the way there can be hidden smells that we probably overlook..

Doobz the smell as changed so much through flowering i wouldn't like to think i had to describe smells just yet mate. they will most likely smell different tomorrow at first they had a smell of lemon's which soon turned into a fresh of the plant honey due Mellon. then a Mellon mint smell and now they have a lemony hazey cant nip smell. i haven't had a crop were the smell has change so much in such a small space of time like this before but it is a stinker and odour control is a must for these from about week 2 12/12. only a few day's in flower and you don't need to rub the stems to get a good strong smell from them. these a the sweet and sour off the cannabis world Doobz mate.:) that's all i can say mate one minute you smell fruit then rotting meat haze smells both in there in the same plant. i find my self looking forward to what smells i will get from them tomorrow every time i go in my tent.

The branching is much more extensive in these critical haze than the critical mass x haze c- I was wondering if I should top my CM x HC or train, but now looking at how they developed I'm not so sure it would have worked out like it does for the critical haze. They look nice my man and it looks as though the yield will be nice as well. Keep them pictures rollin! ;) Peace!

GF i believe criticalxhaze and criticalxhazeC are the same plant breed exactly the using the afghanxhazeC male only the pink floyd is different i think using haze AC male. i believe topping would help this strain a lot i should of done mine but decided to bend them instead. your plants are swelling up nice mate my #1 is a fat plant going to be a good yielder #2 and #3 are more like a stretchy haze bud shape. don't worry i will keep the pics coming till the end and hope you do the same GF mate.:)

here is a few more pics.

yes chana i like the strain a lot only problem is no3 the smell is strong mango and passion fruit with a really nice yield what more can u ask? maybe it's my tent that's the problem chana? i don't like them but it was easier to just get one of them than make a room at the time. anyway they have about another 2 weeks then i will play with the design of my tent a little. maybe i will just blacken the window of in the room the tents in before trying again.:)

Hi Brother B... dont stress it my friend. We all cant have the best gear and crops... one by one right. Your grows are tight my friend and you will work out the deficiency. Good idea on the seal. That should do the trick. Keep up the great journal man. You second run is going to be way better, that is for sure. But your buds do look stellar and it would seem you know exactly how to feed them.

B, I am not sure you noticed, but CH is not drought resistant at all. So make sure you dont miss a watering, cause she will loose many desirable traits if she wilts and she will only be good for hash or butter, imho. I think this is something shared with Haze. But I would be better to tell you in a few months when I get an opportunity to flower out my various hazes x's.

Enjoy your Pheno 3. If it is possible, keep a little extra for a 1 or 2 month cure. In true Haze fashion, it only gets better with age.

Peace Brock1,

CM

Very nice bro ! I am umin an ahin over what strains to get ,but the more I see of CHz the more I likey . Just a cpl of Q`s how many nodes did the plants have before flip ? Would you reccomend topping to reduce risk of mould ?[ those buds are very dense and I have high humidity in Summer, Hate to loose beautiful buds like those to mold eh ].Oh and do they like N during flow ,I have read elsewhere that Big Bud likes N.
Thanks for sharin
Elmer Bud .

EB i am not to sure how meany nodes they had when i flipped them to be honest the plants themselves were about 16inch height wise. they really did have some stretch in them though after flipping the light to 12/12. i would recommend topping to increase yield dramatically i should of done it with these like i was recommended. however i live in the UK were we get very high humidity the back end of the season and i find topping really makes things worse regarding mould but that's the middle to end of flowering here. i find lst bending to be a better option to prevent mould on outdoor plant EB. i am not sure about how much they like n during flower but these did get n during flower so they certainly don't mind it mate and i don't have a EC pen here atm but these got feed all canna feed A+b, boost, pk 13/14, super thrive and molasses. i dare say i could of give them more and they would of still been happy so they are heavy feeder. chana pointed out they don't like there roots dry. well they also don't like a lot of air movement as well and will get wind burn easily. outdoor if you can flower big bud well i think you would be able to do these. only 1 of my 3 i think that would give you any problems with mould is #1 the other 2 i dear say i could even flower here in north UK with a bit of luck. i would recommend you try this one outdoor i think it would be a really good outdoor plant. :)

Damn brock loving these most recent shots! What day are you at, if you are starting counting from the flip to 12/12?

What day are you planning on taking them at?

Another question, how do you decide when to start flushing on seed runs for hazy strains like this? Do you go by trichs, pistils, calyxes, seed packet dates?

edit: I forgot to ask, are these the critical mass x haze c, or critical mass x afg haze ?

hi SmokeOn thanks for the kind words mate. there at 62 days from 12/12 today and will got about another 10 days.

to judge when to start flushing i first use the strain description as a rough guide. then i watch them grow. most haze strains and sativa will imoa be ready to start flushing when you get a second cast of calyxes growing from the fist to the extent you can see them. not just a fluffy clump of pistils coming from the first calyxes. then i feed molasses for a week to bring down the ec slowly. then go to nothing but water for around 10 days. dependant on trichs if i only grow a few plants. if its a bigger grow i will just go by % of brown pistils looking for around 85/90%. then a quick dry spell for a few days before i chop. i do this more from habit than anything else. i leave the light off when i chop and don't ad any extra heat. mould can set in if your rooms cold damp and dark even for as little as 2 or 3 days it used to take to chop my old room. it also has the effect of the plant thinking its going to die and ripen that little bit faster them last 2 or 3 days. i hope this helps you understand how i do it SmokeOn.:)

lol i edited to answer the question you edited to ask. its criticalxafg hazeC
