Smell, flavour, high

Afghan Haze #1 - A keeper. Lime/lemon smell, fresh and very inviting. Immediate cerebral high, psychedelic at times. Long-lasting and very pleasant.

Afghan Haze #2 - Tall and lanky. Low yielding but very resinous. More mellow smell of fruit. Definite Indica influence in the flavour. High is strong and upbeat but not as nice as #1.

Afghan Haze #3 - Another keeper. Spindly growth pattern, tall and very Thai looking. Great haze / floral smell, slightly fruity and citric. Strong, clear high. Functional but easy to 'go too far'.

Afghan Haze #4 - Indica leaning pheno. Moderate potency. Fruity smell and taste. Cloudy high, not to my preference but others really liked her.

Thank you to MNS for the great genetics.
Keep it green.
TF.

Hi Alecky,
Thanks for your kind words.

#1 - 83 days
#2 - 77 days
#3 - 88 days
#4 - 68 days

Flowered on 11/13.
Pretty reasonable when the haze is in the mix.
Keep it green.

Cheers English,
Imagine if she could be revegged outdoors and grew to be say 180cm and was just hitting her stride in flowering. All hypothetically of course.
Now that would be amazing.
Keep it green,
TF.

Thank you Marcus.
The seeds were approx a year old.
The four pictured were pure females. There was however a #5 which threw nanners and pollinated a few lower branches on the others. #5 was subsequently trimmed and then discarded.
In all honesty I would recommend the Afghan Haze for anyone who enjoys hazes.
All examples were 100% organic.
Keep it green.

Do it mate if you have the climate for her.:)

Already in hand.
One thing is for sure - the Afghan Haze outside is a truly different beast to her indoor self.

Afghan Haze #1 followed by #3 following a re-veg. Please note that things have progressed significantly since these pictures were taken. More to come in the near future.

Hello TF,

very beautiful plants, keep up the good work.

Did any of the plants had a indica influenced stone? Or were all plants giving straight highs?

Hi Illyssian,
Three of the four were / are very haze dominant with uplifting and cerebral type highs. One was more balanced, maybe even a little indica dominant in stone. I kept the two I liked best which both happen to be to the haze side.

Keep it green.

Hi all,
Here are some more recent pictures of my two selected Afghan Hazes. They have certainly come a long way since the last pictures.

Afghan Haze #1 (approx 6 weeks into flowering).
This plant is easily 2 metres tall and is cranking out the resin. Smells are lime/citrus/haze. She looks fantastic.

Afghan Haze #3

She is much shorter than #1. Her smells are more floral/haze based with maybe a touch of citrus. If only a picture could truly convey how special this lady is.

A quick update.
Here is #1 at Week 9 (give or take).
She is huge and is filling out well. The fresh citrus smell is very inviting.

Enjoy,

And then #3. She is becoming a little bud heavy and has started to 'flop'.
The smell is haze all the way.
She seems to be a week or so behind #1 which is a real shame as the weather is beginning to turn.

A quick question -

Do I wait to harvest even though the weather is forecast to be very wet for the next week OR do I hang on in there in the hope that the plants can survive without turning to mouldy mush?
Tough decision as neither plant is at a point I would describe as being 'ready'. However, I would hate to lose what is already there as it looks amazing!
Even with 20 years of growing experience I need some advice.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Keep it green.
TF
