That quote about life being a box of chocolates…
IMO, the joy of growing is in the discovery. That’s the beauty of regular seeds- being able to make one’s own selection. Good hunting!

We didn't have near the opportunities back in the 70's like we do today with so many strains available along with new technology. No time like the present. Only way to find out is to, "...get on with the fascination, the real relation..."- get those seeds in soil and have some fun.

Yes, I grew my first plants in 1977 so it ended up being Colombian Red bag seed. Naturally it didn’t come close to finishing but the fire was lit.

I don't subscribe to that proverb. It's better to do both.
