315w DE cmh

Can't find more detailed info than this:

  • Engineered Ceramic Arc Tube design
  • Double-Jacketed glass for safety
  • THD <10% (in HIPAR Sunstorm Kit)
  • Kelvin 2800k
  • CRI >90%
  • Increases essential oil production
  • Complex patented mixture of gasses optimised specifically for horticulture
  • Long lamp life – 20,000 hrs recommended with 90% maintenance at 10,000hr
  • Higher UV and Infra-red output calculated for plant resin production
  • DE – Double Ended bulb for secure mounting
  • 930/2800k – Effective for vegetative and floral growth

A search for the manufacturer came up blank...

DE should have advantages vs SE, on paper it should be a better light source.

Thanks man
I got Philips 315w globes now, 1.9 umol/s
When I went from SE hps to DE the boost was about 33% photons, from 1.5 to 2uml/s

If the DE cmh give the same kick, then they'll be up around 2.6
Certainly looks interesting

Hope everyone is well
Finally received my DE reflectors in mail

Went with these hipar designed to run CMH globes

Cool thing is the adjustable wings
Each side is independent
If running them in series, can tighten the light on the end reflector on the outside, and open the inside
I found the hipar sunstorms ( both vertical and horizontal ) for the SE CMH globes to be too tight, they would cook a 2'*2' footprint directly under the reflector, but not really splash out. I was running them with HPS back then, so wanted a wider footprint
Now I'm using horizontal 'chinaman's hat' style reflectors with LED UFOs in between

Thats some Future:Gothic you got going on. 90s vibes on that packaging. 2.6mmols on a bulb? Thats good.
Thanks
Still haven't found any data on them
I've used hortico SE globes before
They have a CMH-r with a boost around 730nm as well as 3k and 4k globes
They also have a 10k which is really extreme UV, that they call a finishing light, to be used in last 2 weeks of bloom
Unfortunately they are not available in DE
They have a 1000w 10k metal halide that will run on a digital hps ballast also, both SE and DE
The reason why I'm hoping for around 33% boost is that's what's available when upgrading to DE in HPS
The reflectors are really cool, quite petite
When I ran DE in HPS I ended up with this huge kite from Canada almost 4'x3'
I have already got about a pound per globe with Philips green master 315w
Not sure if these will exceed that by much
I'll know soon enough anyway
Cheers
