female Seed verse Reugular Seed flower shots...

Even the rare sativa pheno will surface if you grow enough out and don't bottleneck the line as you go.

This gal was altogether different than my big chunky gals..
showing her Jack Herer sativa heritage.

It didn't smell of rotten meat but was definitely not fruity as the others.

Take care

And while the battle rages on the fem seed thread, I'd like to say that I am interested in what people can achieve using these teks. Photographic evidence coupled with first hand anecdotal evidence is very credible and I thank you for putting it up. What I'm looking for as a breeder is the supreme individual. This may be another way of getting there.

Nev

It most certainly is a method of finding the grail...

I feel many of the gals that I have grown out and let go were most certainly worthy as grail in many eyes ..
Hell most of the phenos that I let go in my c99 line are worlds better than that sorry ass specimen being
touted as the grail cut over at the rag ,ICcesspool...dutchgrown and rez are whoring out...
but the dumbed down lil robots over there would drink the kool aid if they said it was good for ya!
echoes of Jim Jones ,,,you kiddies won't even know wtf I'm talking about!
But I continue to work ,it's a journey for certain.

my current focus is on sheer potency with my patients counting on me,,even my gal with a med card has massive migraines since she was 13 .

My mother is a patient as well,,degenerative disks in her spine, and carpal tunnel from years of ass busting work on the assembly line at Ford Motor company.

To my darling patient with more problems than I can type Fibromyalgia ,blown out knees and back,,,she's been on more narcotics to just get by than a junkie..and her son is a local Omni and swat officer who praises my work with her and is all too happy that this law is helping people such as her.

Femmed breeding allows me to focus the magnifacation tighter to desired traits as I progress simply because I know all facets of the gals I'm using.

Try doing that with a male,,,and if that's your cup of tea ,then hell knock yourself out friend...

I prefer my method,,,and I like my results...

I've grown out enough packs of seeds from breeders (so called) over the years to know that the descriptions they give and the results are worlds apart,,,that's why the meticulous asshole in me takes over and I do it myself.

my experience with a $200 pack of serious seeds bubblegum alone was enough to convince me that most breeders out there are nothing but a joke.

For being a line so line bred and worthy,,,and btw of course never femmed
it was riddled with full on hermies, and shitty phenos.

Not 1 was kept nor even considered to breed with,,,again I apologize to outlaw grower who bought that pack,,,I couldn't in good conscience pass along that shit to him..

This from a true breeding line (as they claim) sure the gals were similar ,and all shared the similarity of being pure garbage.

My Deadwood is what I look to for pain relief for my patients..

I'm in hopes of exploring for a new indica with this type of quality from Shanti
and I intend on finding it.

The fruit punch pheno is far better imho,,,and a huge yielder.
wish I still had some pics of a few of the gals, but a crashed hard drive and
a forced destruction and sterilization of everything had to be done when I encountered the mosaic virus that devastated my grow.

What exactly is the "mosaic virus"
great pics, thanks.

My phenos range from the Tropical fruit punch to Lemon citrus, and grapefruit, and yes even the pineapple cut which isn't rare at all really.
My goal was to avoid bottlenecking each generation as I progressed with
careful attention to traits with structure potency and yield in mind.

The best gals were selected from these features rather than smell and taste alone.
If I understand the pedigree correctly, we are talking multiple duplications of the plant
NL5HzC1 x SKHzC (which went by many different names). This got it's quality from the NL5Haze mother. The smells you describe were all in the Haze C.
You've done well mate.

c99= NL5HzC1 x SKHzC x shiva skunk and worked from there...i think

A seed from a Jack Herer bud from Sensi Smile was grown out and pollinated by an "Unidentified mystery plant". This resulted in a special plant called Princess. Princess was crossed with ShivaSkunk (from Sensi Seedbank), this resulted in P. 50 (or Princess 50). It was then backcrossed with the Princess to create P. 75. P. 75 was backcrossed again with Princess to create P. 88 (aka Cinderella 88) which again was backrossed with Princess to create P. 94, which is Cinderella 99.

As far as Mosaic virus is concerned....
I'm going to have to be an asshole and tell you to simply do your
research on your own,as I'm not about to type up all the info on it.

It all starts with a search,,that lil window top right....

I don't do my daughter's homework for her or she'd never learn on her own.

Thanks much for the compliments gentlemen...

The med scene has forced me from playing with this strain C99 much and I only have the two mom's as P1's on hand currently...

Unable to find competent growers that I trust my gals with locally,,so I never
seem to keep em on hand or maintain the keepers that I find as much as I'd like.

I had a real nice sativa pheno from this last run that certainly has haze dominant traits..

This made me happy as it vindicated my efforts to keep diversity in the line.

Aboveis th sativa C99 pheno (haze)

Here are the 2 P1's that I d have on hand ,and have already begun reversing the #1 to cross to 2.

Nev you can be assured you will taste these beans from this cross....

all my best fellas!

I highly doubt there will be any complaints about them being femmed after you grow some out and enjoy them...I'm sure Nev has a few choice studs
He'd be itching to hit em with...

Me myself ,I'm actually more anxious to see what this C99 pollen does on my Old sog SSH pheno.

really nice pictures and plants cabron , you seem to definately have a love for cindy , much respect for that ,, i too have had same ...

im sure youd know why many of us went in the direction of the pineapple type , whilst its true as you say there is much more in the strain ,, the pineapple was by far the hardest hitter and boy that smell and taste ,, i can certainly see what soul was talking about .

the pineapple c99 i made im not sure i could say was a bottleneck , when you grew a bunch of them there was still every type i recalled in the original, it just favoured the pineapple ,
some packs of the original also favoured in pineapple phenotypes that i recall ..
big props for your excellent pics and information , love to grow out some of your seeds one day ...

I'm in the process of growing out a nice variety of new genetics from breeders
or at least breeders that sell seeds..
I guess I'm a breeder as well just don't sell them..
Sensi HP and G13 HP
Canna Biogen Taskenti
Shanti's
NL5xafghan
Med Man
Devil
G13BW
Afghani x skunk

and as usual I always seem to have one plant that just grabs my
attention early on..

And of all these ,this one is a creation of my own..
A femmed gal..
I took pollen from my reversed East coast sour diesel clone
and hit momma Bubba Kush and made some beans..

I thought I'd drop 6 of these in coco and see how they looked as
I did all these others from the vendors.

I'm just getting my hands wet with coco and at first it was a bit tricky
to dial in for me as I'm used to soil and a ph of 7 ,,so my seedlings
were all a light green ..

But these BKD Bubba Kush Diesels never even noticed my struggle
and so far are nute hogs uneffected by PH ...

Here she is..
I hope she delivers in the end,,,she sure stinks ,,more than any plant I have
and this early on..

Femmed all the way boys!!!

Thank You for the compliments DM
I hope to be able to share some of the next femmed batch and generation of this line in the future.
I had the P.75 cut sent to me as it was passed around the small circles in the shadows out there. LOL!

It was supposed to be something special..
It was most certainly pineapple to the core but it grew very hairy flowers with
an abundance of pistillate mass.
The resin content was low and it took 65 days plus to mature...
When it was finally done it was weak shitty representation of what this line
has to offer pheno typically.

I don't know who chose to keep that cut and pass it along as worthy of anything but that idiot needs to learn about selection.

I culled it quickly....I even made the mistake of breeding it with one of my c99 males from gen 3 and grew some of those out to see if that pheno would
at least release some of the gems that I know the dna holds..
I was told by a buddy up in Humboldt area that she breeds nice ones...

Guess what?? that pheno was dominant and the gals from that cross were the shitty pineapple pheno...I don't know what I did with all those seeds, they're layin around here somewhere, but will get tossed when I get a minute.

I have grown out plenty of c99 gals to know that there are sickly godawful sweet pineapple phenos,,,yes and badass....and they are prevalent...

But that one was a joke! The P75 cut in circulation...

Shit I toss mom's in the garbage that make that garbage pale in comparison.

OK nuff about that..

Here's a few snaps of the east coast sour diesel clone hit with colloidal silver and reversed...this pollen was harvested by tweezers and a petri dish
then disbursed via the intake side of a big fan that was blowing on a room full of elite cuts...

Au Naturale!!!

Hi All!

Nice pictures but they don't look to have too much resin on then!
That what I notice the bigger plant always have less resin on then!
Except for the Deadwood you have a nice production of resin! Don't say I did give you some credit but now it too late Bro!

Big yield is one trait but resin production is more what I'm looking for!

Regular seeds is all I want!! Let go pictures war,,, Female Versus Regular

It all starts with a search,,that lil window top right....

all my best fellas!

Point taken, thanks for the info.

It looks pretty scary, glad I've never seen it, here's a short write up I found on it, in case anyone was wondering.

"What is it?

Mosaic virus is caused by a variety of viruses
which attack all members of the curcurbit family, but especially thrive on summer squash, cucumber and muskmelon plants. It is spread by a variety of methods and so is a serious disease for plants of the curcurbit family, including cucumbers, gourds, muskmelons, winter squash, summer squash, watermelons and pumpkins.

What does it look like?

Mosaic virus damage first appears in the form of green leaves which look as if they are mottle or distorted. Often these leaves will also be curled upward, or appear as if their growth has been stunted. Typically these leaves will have yellowish spot on them, adding to their mottled appearance. If cucumber fruits are affected they will vary in color from light green to dark green mottled areas and some which pale to white. Affected areas of the curcurbit family plants may also be covered with warts or alternately the skins may be have faded and be very white and smooth.

How does it manifest?

Mosaic virus overwinters on a variety of plants including debris from curcurbit family plants which was not cleared from the garden, as well as catnip, pokeweed, motherwort, milkweed and wild cucumber plants. Aphids and cucumber beetles spread the disease as they feed going from infected plant to healthy plant. The prevalence of these insects once they have infested a garden can be damaging on it’s own, not to mention when these insects are spreading mosaic virus. The earlier in the season the disease is spread, the more plants will have severe damage from mosaic virus. Although mosaic virus can eventually kill off the curcurbit family plants, the main affect of this virus on the crop is that plants fruits will taste bitter, and therefore be inedible. However, it is good to know that plants which are infected after the fruit is already half grown typically do not turn out bitter.

What can you do about it?

Unfortunately, there is no chemical control for mosaic virus, and plants need to be removed and destroyed promptly if they are infected with this viral disease. To control the spread of the disease by cucumber beetles and aphids, you will need to control these insect populations with a diazinon containing insecticide repeating the application as much as necessary in seven day intervals. Although there are mosaic virus resistant cucumber varieties, so far no resistant varieties of muskmelon and summer squash are available to plant. "

my 2 cents on the issue

Shanti and I discussed S1, feminizing, etc long ago when I was quite a bit more stupid. He was very kind to my stupidity at the time! So thanks Mr Shanti!

Anyway, here's a few shots of the reversal of the Clockwork orange Project and shots of the Bud from the S1's... I found thew yield and potency to be amazing, but nothing was as good as the original motherplant that was not an S1. I'm hoping to find some more instances of plants with the genetic leaf mutation to see if that correlates to the potency that the original mother puts out or not. The S1's are very close, but who knows I may be a bit partial!

The Flower shot is from a plant I call Smart Alex that came from an S1 from the Clockwork orange. Also shown are the pictures taken of the reversed clockwork orange in the latter half of the feminization process after I let the plant revert back to its original female sex. I time it in such a way that the male flowers open right as the pistils are forming back again on the same plant, so the plant can be isolated and pollenate itself.. Anyway I've found it to be very successful. Also pictured is my Hawaiian Honey Purple strain that was released in S1 form and in a regular form, however this was from a pack of S1's that were grown by a member of my forum. It yielded about 2 times what the mother clone selected to use for the S1's normally yielded, however I think the upping in yield sacrificed some of the resin production and potency that the plant is known for. Kinda hard to gauge.

Also shown is a cut from the motherplant of Clockwork Orange in Veg so you can see some of the crinkled leaf formation that I was referring to. Some people are turned off completely by mutations, however I love oddballs in the bunch.

PS - Cabron you did an insanely awesome job on those c99s!

Most of those who bash feminised seeds clearly have not had the chance to work with any and are simply regurgitating some old hippies comments on previous forum posts.
I have tried multiple feminized strains with great success. None of which produced any hermie plants and were every bit as potent as some great non feminized lines. The reputable breeders of fem seeds make sure to stress their plants in order to see if they will produce male flowers (typically by haveing like an hour of light right in the middle of the dark cycle)before selecting which one to reverse. THe plants that can take on all of the environmental stress without spitting out male flowers are then hit with the chemicals to reverse them and used on a different plant that has not had chemicals used on it. This is why most elite clones cannot successfully be recreated with this method (they will spit out the male flowers under environmental stress).

I would really recomend using fem seeds for those with big plans outdoors (inspired from julians icmag thread) as it eliminates the need to dig extra holes for male plants or for those who would like to have a sog setup from seeds indoors which will also allow for better selection using a high plant count.

Seeds i have grown from fem form:
Serious white russian, ak47
dinafem's roadrunner, industrial plant, moby dick, critical jack
magus double dutch
numerous cheap nirvana like ak48, bubblicous, nl and others
hindu kush of unkown origin
and some plant called easy sativa which sucked

I would recomend the dinafem's gear because they are primarily femenized versions of keeper plants from shanti's seeds and have given me some of my favorite specimens (wish i kept some)..hope he doesnt hate me for saying this because i have read about him bashing this company for taking thousands of his seeds to create a seed bank.

cuttings will flower once you put them outside. atleast they have in my experience, some say sativas will reveg but this has yet to happen for clones ive had under 24hr light..most big plants people have outdoor are started from seed
